Hey everyone. Just an update. I took part in the #BobsBurgers fan art contest and my art was chosen! Of course I didn’t draw, I used my 3d models of the characters and used some Photoshop filters to make them look like they were done in 2D.

3D sculpt of Doctor Strange. Primarily done in ZBrush, with a little 3ds max. I decided to begin this project to challenge myself further, I also appreciate the multiple materials I’ll have to create during texturing and shading.
My latest Disney study, safe to say the most challenging of all. Alice in Wonderland is in the top 3 for all time favorites, I really enjoyed it as a kid. As always, I started out with a sphere and dynamesh. I took the model into 3ds max for rendering with Vray. Compositing various passes in photoshop.
My latest sculpt of a classic Disney character, the sultan, from Aladdin. I initially had no intentions of attempting this character. I didn’t feel comfortable with Aladdin himself, not finding adequate reference. I used this as an opportunity to try a different character, one I think not a lot of people would expect. I kinda like the guy too 🙂 As always, dynamesh in Zbrush from a sphere.
My latest Disney classic, Hercules. I was able to catch this on ABC family, so I recorded it. (I wish they showed the classic more often) I paused occasionally to take photos of Hercules for reference. I think challenging was a bit a bit of an understatement. At some point the thought of giving up crossed my mind, because early on it looked nothing like Hercules. I had to throw in some of the pieces so that it could somewhat resemble him, which allowed me to make major tweaks until I was happy with the way it turned out. As always, it begins with a sphere in Zbrush with dynamesh.
